With every crack, there is an opportunity for something to flourish. We see it all the time in the Burren. New life … growth … colour in between the clints and grikes of the multi-coloured stone.
This mosaic consists of slate, glass tile and filati. The slate is part of an old roof tile from a house with lots of history. Each piece is hand cut and embedded into a light substrate with a mortar.
The mosaic is embedded into a white deep box wooden frame.
