Hold fast to your dreams. This piece came to me in a dream. I quickly sketched it in the hope of capturing what came through. This is the result.
Where possible, nothing goes to waste. In this mosaic, the black tesserae were handmade using recycled pigmented mortar and cut into small shapes. Coloured red, orange and yellow smalti added for colourful effect. The substrate has been cut into different pieces and adhered together to give the mosaic its shape. It is complete with fixings at the back for hanging.
